World Book Day

We celebrated World Book Day and our love of reading during the national lockdown. We had a Zoom reading breakfast where we dressed as book characters and read our books while enjoying a yummy breakfast.

As part of our theme of Our Global Village we learnt about Japanese haiku poetry, and wrote poems about places around the world that are important to us. Watch Imran and Dharan perform their fantastic poems!

While learning about The Victorians we explored Victorian literature, including the Edward Lear poem The Owl and the Pussycat. We wrote and performed our own poems based on Edward Lear's great work, and you can watch our performances - enjoy!

At the end of our history unit The Victorians we learnt about the British Empire. Look at these amazing posters we made about countries that were part of the former Empire.

We started the year learning about London. We used our computing skills to create these great ebooks.
